2024-2025 Arrival/Dismissal procedures for FMMS

As we prepare for the new school year, please note that the school doors will open at 7:45 a.m. each morning. To ensure a smooth and safe experience during pick-up and drop-off times, please follow these guidelines:

Traffic Flow: Both the pick-up and drop-off routes have two lanes:

• The inside lane (closest to the school) is designated for drop-off only.
• The outside lane is a pass-through lane. Please keep this lane clear for vehicles to pass through.

Drop-Off:

• All STUDENT drop off/pick up occur ONLY on the North side of FM
• Always pull as far forward as you can in the drop-off/pick up lane
• Ensure your child is ready to exit the vehicle promptly to keep the line moving,
• Do not park in the drop-off lanes; this will help maintain a steady traffic flow.

Walkers:

• All 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade walkers will use the doors located on the southwest corner of FMMS.

Bike Riders:

• Bike racks are located in front of the doors on the southwest corner of FMMS, where walkers enter/exit.

For all other school business, parents will enter using the south main entrance of FMMS located on Whitehurst, following the visitor protocol.

Morning Traffic: Staff will be on-site directing traffic to ensure safety and efficiency.

After-School Pick-Up: The process is designed to be quick. Please leave the outside lanes empty to allow cars to pass through.
