Richardson ISD is implemented a new school cafeteria payment system in 2024, called SchoolCafe, and longer uses the PayPams service. Any existing balances in PayPams were transferred to SchoolCafe once a returning family created a SchoolCafe account. All RISD families who plan to use school cafeterias for student meals in the coming school year should create a SchoolCafe account.
Through the SchoolCafe App, a parent can:
- -Deposit funds to pay for cafeteria meals for enrolled students
- -Check balances or move funds among enrolled students
- -Apply for free or reduced cost meal benefits
- -Monitor student meal or cafeteria item purchases
